Manitoba Metis Federation Mourns Tragedy in La Loche, SK

Winnipeg, MB – Manitoba Metis Federation President David Chartrand and members of Manitoba’s Métis Community expressed grief and shock over the horrible tragedy that took place in La Loche, Saskatchewan.

“My heart is broken for those who have lost loved ones in this senseless act of violence,” stated President Chartrand. “Many of our Citizens across the province of Manitoba and the country of Canada have been impacted by the tragedy in this largely Métis village. Our thoughts are with those who are grieving today and we send our prayers for comfort, strength and courage.”
