Manitoba Metis Federation Congratulates Clément Chartier on being re-elected President of the Métis National Council

Winnipeg, MB – On behalf the Métis Nation’s Manitoba Métis Citizens, President David Chartrand and Cabinet of the Manitoba Metis Federation offer their sincere congratulations to Clément Chartier on being re-elected to his 5th term as President of the Métis National Council (MNC).

“Since 1983, the MNC has represented the Métis Nation nationally and internationally,” stated President Chartrand. “My Cabinet Ministers and I wish to congratulate President-Elect Clément Chartier on his appointment from the democratically selected leaders of the Métis Nation’s governments from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario.”

MNC held its election for national President during their General Assembly on April 28th 2017 in Winnipeg.

The Manitoba Metis Federation also wishes to extend thanks and appreciation to all delegates who participated in this important democratic process of the Métis Nation.
