Manitoba Metis Federation to Host Emergency Fisheries Meeting Tomorrow

Winnipeg, MB – Tomorrow, February 13, the Manitoba Metis Federation will host its emergency meeting in response to the Manitoba fisheries crisis. The meeting will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel in Winnipeg.

Over 100 commercial fishers and processing plant operators from across Manitoba and Saskatchewan are registered to attend. The MMF is pleased to welcome parliamentary secretaries for the Department of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard and International Trade. The Province will be sending a deputy minister as well.
