Full Time, Permanent - Multiple Position
Out-Of-Scope position $78,395-$105,062 per year (FI7)

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Finance will provide direction and guidance to the Metis Child and Family Services Authority and its mandated agencies with respect to all financial aspects, including overseeing and supporting the subordinate finance staff. The Director is responsible for managing accounting, reporting, internal controls and day to day operations of the finance function, including the development and maintenance of financial accounting systems, with a focus on streamlining all financial functions and the ongoing development of financial policies and procedures. The Director will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Agency Senior Management to develop operational business plans, budgets and cash flows for all entities, and is also responsible for presenting on financial performance and budget to actual variances to the agencies' Boards of Directors.

As the ideal candidate for this role, you are a financial professional with over five years' experience in senior level positions. You have demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking skills and have a collaborative problem solving style and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. In past roles, you have demonstrated an ability to balance an entity's mission and priorities with resource constraints. You have experience with or understand issues of procurement and contract administration, government relations and policy making and your business acumen enables you to see the big picture and problem-solve creatively. You have obtained a professional accounting designation - CPA, CA, CMA or CGA.

The Metis Child & Family Services Authority requires a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Prior Contact Check prior to commencement of employment. A valid Manitoba driver's license and the use of a personal vehicle are requisites as travel is required.
