Silica Sand Extraction Project

We're hosting a community meeting to discuss Sio Silica's proposed Silica Sand Extraction Project.

Sio Silica's proposing to extract silica sand near Vivian, Manitoba - located in our Southeast Region. This project is currently under review by Manitoba and is of great concern to many Red River Métis Citizens in and around the project area.

We're asking Citizens to join us on May 10, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. virtually or at the Centre Jean Desrosiers in St. Malo, Manitoba, to learn more about the proposed project and share any concerns you may have.

We'll provide dinner and an honorarium to all participants and arrange travel accommodations as needed.

All our Citizens are welcome to join our meeting, however, participants must register to attend. Please contact madelynn.perry@mmf.mb.ca for more information and to register.
