Commemoration of the Victory of Frog Plain

On June 19, 1816, Cuthbert Grant led the Victory of Frog Plain, and declared "la nouvelle nation" as he flew the Red River Métis blue infinity flag for the first time recorded. Every year on June 19th, we commemorate the Victory by gathering, remembering, and sharing our Red River Métis culture and history at the Seven Oaks Monument Site.
