Ste. Madeleine Metis Days

July 19, 2024 to July 21, 2024

In 1939, the Red River Métis community of Ste. Madeleine was burned to the ground and hundreds of Red River Métis Citizens were forced to relocate to make way for a community pasture.

To commemorate this tragedy, the MMF and Ste. Madeleine Métis Heritage Local partner and put on Ste. Madeleine Metis Days. The event features a Red River Métis market and family activities. There is also horseshoe, slingshot, cribbage, jigging, bannock making, Bingo and closest to the pin competitions.
