Indigenous Day Celebrations

Northwest Metis Council is working on a virtual graduation in conjunction with Indigenous Day Celebrations. Celebrations will be held at the Metis Community Center (virtual) on June 21, 2021 at 10:00AM.

Live National Indigenous Peoples Day will begin at 11:00AM.

Selkirk Indigenous Week is running from June 14-21 (virtual event). The week-long event includes a scavenger hunt, a story walk, entertainment, and features of Indigenous artisans in their Makers Market.

The Pas Friendship Centre will be streaming a celebration video via YouTube, Facebook and their website on June 21, as well as virtual beading lessons on this day. They also have Parent-Child craft packages available while supplies last, which includes dream catcher canvases, paints, and coloring pages for those ages 6-12. In addition, they also have Senior activity booklets, which are available on their website and Facebook page.
