MELT- Kettle Hills Blueberry Patch

The Kettle Hills Blueberry Patch is referred to as the "Métis Breadbasket" region because it has sustained the Red River Métis for generations.

Join the Manitoba Métis Federation's Energy, Infrastructure and Resource Management Department from July 18 to 22, 2022, by collecting GPS datapoint on blueberry patches at Kettle Hills Blueberry Patch.

Activities include:

• cleaning up litter,
• training on how to monitor species of interest to the Red River Métis,
• listening to Traditional Knowledge pertinent to the Kettle Hills Blueberry Patch,
• berry picking,
• camping and gathering.
