Participate in a project for La Plas Taanshi kaa-ishipamachihoyaahk: the Red River Métis Heritage Centre!
Red River Métis Citizens of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in this project over the coming months. Celebrate your stories, ancestors and community through art and help bring cultural pride to the Red River Métis Heritage Centre.
No experience sewing, beading or art-making necessary! All materials and teachings provided.
How to Participate:
- Attend an in-person workshop -Beginning July 21, join artist Tracy Charette Fehr (location and time coming soon! ) to share stories and create artwork in community. Workshops happen every Tuesday until December 1 - stop by one or attend several!
- Attend a remote-workshop - Beginning July 22, join artist Tracy Charette Fehr online at TIME to share stories and create artwork in online community. Workshops happen every Wednesday until December 2 - attend just one or several! If you are attending remotely, please fill out a FORM HERE (https://forms.office.com/r/7DtwXNYJXh) to request an art materials kit, (return postage included).

About the Artist
Tracy Charette Fehr is an interdisciplinary Red River Métis artist with a passion for story, family and history. She completed both her BFA and MFA at the University of Manitoba and has exhibited at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Mann Art Gallery, Mennonite Heritage Gallery and the Musée du Saint-Boniface Museum.
